1. Introduction

The Anti-Ragging Policy of Rajarshi Rananjay Sinh Institute of Management and Technology (RRSIMT) is established to ensure a safe, friendly, and supportive learning environment for all students. Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within the college premises and hostels. Ragging is a criminal offense, and the institute takes all necessary steps to protect the physical and mental well-being and dignity of every student, especially juniors.

2. Definitions

2.1 Ragging: Ragging refers to any disorderly conduct (spoken, written, or acts) that causes physical or psychological harm, fear, shame, or distress to a student. It includes teasing, abuse, financial extortion, forcing non-ordinary acts, disrupting academics, or discrimination based on personal characteristics.

2.2 Anti-Ragging Committee: A dedicated body responsible for preventing, addressing, and taking action against reported cases of ragging. The committee includes faculty members, administrative staff, students, and external stakeholders.

3. Prohibited Activities

• Physical abuse or violence
• Mental or emotional abuse, threats, humiliation
• Sexual harassment in any form
• Forced or degrading activities
• Bullying or intimidation
• Social exclusion or isolation
• Cyber bullying through digital platforms

4. Awareness Programs

• Orientation Programs: Conducted at the beginning of each academic year.
• Seminars & Workshops: Regular awareness sessions on the harmful effects of ragging.
• Peer Support Groups: Senior students act as mentors to new students.

5. Reporting and Complaint Mechanism

• Anonymous Reporting: Confidential reporting system to protect complainants.
• Complaint Registration: Complaints may be submitted orally, in writing, via helpline, or email.
• Grievance Redressal: Fair and impartial inquiry by the Anti-Ragging Committee.
• Support & Counseling: Counseling and guidance for victims.

6. Disciplinary Actions

• Immediate Actions: Warnings, counseling, or temporary suspension.
• Disciplinary Measures: Suspension, expulsion, cancellation of scholarships, withholding certificates, or legal action.
• Supportive Measures: Academic and emotional support for victims.

7. Anti-Ragging Affidavit

• Every student must submit an anti-ragging affidavit at the time of admission.
• Parents/Guardians must also submit an affidavit confirming their commitment.
